Getting Started!
So, I've finally gotten the ball rolling and have began my blog (and my sewing projects!) I've been dreaming of doing this for awhile now, so I'm extremely excited to begin.
Yesterday, I went on a little thrift store haul at my local Salvation Army and picked up so many great finds--I was so anxious to get to my sewing machine! This particular store has racks on racks of all sorts of women, men and children's clothing, so it took a little bit of time to wean out the good from the bad. I picked up a velvet dress, some flower and plaid patterns, a few flannels and other odds and ends that will be revealed as I begin to revive everything. One thing about my style--I LOVE patterns. If you were to look in my closet (I'll show a peak when it's not so messy), you would see basically 75% patterns and 25% everything else. The more the merrier! Anyways, I picked up some great items. I'm starting to build my Etsy collection and will hopefully be able to launch my designs in a few weeks or so.
Tonight I started sewing some of my new thrift finds and they're turning out wonderful. Everything that I'm working on are clothes that I would wear myself and items that I truly love. Looking forward to the future of everything!
