Every woman has their go-to outfits and last minute accessories to throw on when walking out the door and running late. If not, that's OK! I'm giving you my top ten list of items that you need in order to be successful at throwing something on while still looking like a show-stopper.
If you're anything like me, you try on at least five outfits before deciding what to wear and afterwards while closet resembles something like the aftermath of a tornado. I usually have three minutes before I'm suppose to be somewhere and I end up going with at least one of the items on my list. Most importantly, you don't need to be breaking your bank with these items. This list is simple and basic. Perfect for all you outfit-procrastinators!
1. A winter coat that is YOU: I know everywhere is not as cold as Michigan, but still. Throughout most of the winter, your winter coat may be one of the only things people see you wear. So make it stand out! Wear a bright color or funky pattern to show off your personality.
2. Infinity scarf: One of my favorites. These literally go with any outfit, any style, any color or pattern ect. They're easy to throw on while still pulling off that effortlessly-chic look. Plus, they're warm!
3. Ankle booties: The perfect shoe. Pair them with denim or a dress. Look grungy or classy in either warm or cold weather.
4. Heels: An alternative, sometimes unappealing, version to the bootie. The thing about heels is that they don't have to be the 6-inch stilettos that often come to mind. Try platform, kitten, lita, open toe, ankle strap, and more types of more comfortable forms. Wear a pair of heels and you instantly dress up any outfit.
5. Cardigan: Simply, because every season is cardigan season.
6. Plain white t-shirt: One of the simplest item on my list, but one of the best. You look a little sexy and a little relaxed mixed together. Some people spend up to $150 to perfect this look (crazy, right?)
7. Harem pants: Not only are they some of the most comfortable pants in the world, they're also a more fashionable alternative to yoga pants and leggings. I usually keep it simple with a basic black pair, but I also love the patterned ones for an extra splash of flair.
8. Statement necklace: There is no better way to make an outfit 10 x better than a necklace that grabs attention.
9. Tights: I cannot count on my fingers how many times I needed tights and could not find any. They're really easy to find, however be careful on the brand you buy or you'll just end up buying a new pair the next day.
10. Blazer: Pretty self-explanatory. Look professional in a work or school setting, or pair with your favorite going-out outfit.
