Flowers, Flowers Everywhere

OK I have a bit of a guilty-pattern pleasure--flower patterns.

I know you're rolling your eyes, thinking to yourself "that's been going on for a few seasons now #basic" but, I don't care. I LOVE flower patterned everything, especially those I find in a thrift store that are so outdated and faded. They're all lovely and just need a little bit of help to make them come to life again. My boyfriend always says the first thing that caught his eye about me was that I was wearing a red-flowered dress (rocking it), so this obsession has been going on for a good 4+ years.

These are two pieces that I picked up at my first haul.

1. 90's Flower Dress with Pearl Buttons: Before

Ah, love at first sight--I was immediately drawn to the small details of the lovely buttons and delicate scallop neckline, shoulder pads and all. Designed from a taffeta fabric, the flower pattern is located throughout the floor-length dress.

90's Flower Dress with Pearl Buttons: After

Although this dress is a little too short for the office, it's perfect for a casual night or day out. Pair with a pair of tights, short booties, and your favorite sweater for a thrifty good time.

2. 90'S Flower Short Blazer

Unfortunately, I was way too excited to get started and forgot to take a before picture, so I'll try my best to describe it. Originally, it was wider, had three buttons down the right side, and had large shoulder pads. Other than a making a few minor adjustments, it was perfect.

The fringe brings in a modern-bohemian twist will keeping the original vintage integrity. My favorite look--simple black and booties.
